Grown in the renowned Dongting Mountain region of Suzhou, this tea is harvested during the early spring, around the "Ming Qian" period, which means it is picked before the Qingming Festival. Tea Production Method
The production of Bi Lo Chun involves careful hand-picking of the young tea buds and leaves. These leaves are quickly processed using traditional techniques, which include pan-firing to preserve the freshness of the tea and maintain its light green color. After this, the leaves are meticulously rolled and shaped into tight, curly spirals. The high-quality leaves are then dried at the optimal temperature to lock in their natural flavors. The unique processing method ensures a tea that is fragrant and full of life, with a crisp and delicate taste.
Brewing Instructions
To brew this exquisite tea:
- Water Temperature: 75-80°C (167-176°F).
- Tea Quantity: Use approximately 2-3 grams of tea leaves for every 150 ml (5 oz) of water.
- Brewing Time: Steep for 1-2 minutes for the first infusion. You can re-steep the leaves for up to 2-3 infusions, adjusting the time slightly for each subsequent brew.
